| well i have one question about preperation of 100%TCA.well i read that to make 100% TCA we have to take 10gm TCA and dissolve it in 4.54ml of Distelled water or aceton.but how it would be 100%?also i tried to dissolved 10gm of TCA to make final volume 4.54 but it wasnt dissolved and also its final volume goes higher than 4.54ml.my question is weather i have to add 4.54ml of aceton/water in 10gm of TCA or i have to make final volume 4.54ml but this doesnt work because final volum will go higher.if anyone can help me in this. |

| If your recipe is following the standard (w/v) percentage specification, it means the correct concentration of TCA is 100 g per 100 mL of solution. (This is the same method that specifies a 1% agarose gel as 1 g agarose in 100 mL of buffer.) So, if you're dissolving 10 mL of TCA, it should come to a final volume of 10 mL to achieve a 100% solution. |
