peptide extraction question
Can someone please answer me this:
In a certain procedure, proteins that were in gel slices went through destain, reduction, alkylation, and typsin digestion. Then peptides were extracted 3 times using just 50mM ammonium bicarbonate placed in a 37*C incubator, with no organic solvents being added (i.e: 10% ACN or 50% ACN).
Will ANY peptides extract from this procedure? And if so, how much generally speaking? Any information will be helpful!
