Talking books about proteins

I'm beginning to work with proteins in my lab (assays, SDS PAGE, purification, etc.). Can anyone recommend any good books about proteins for a novice? Thanks!

Hi

There are a lot of guides from Pierce (Now thermo IEC)

I suggest that you read them.

Regards.

Hello,

1. Robert Scopes. Protein Purification - Principles and Practice (3rd Edn) Springer-Verlag. Highly recommended.

2. Proteins. Structure and Molecular Properties, by Thomas E. Creighton, W.H. Freeman & Co. Also highly recommended.

Good luck,

tgd

You should try to read journals that relate to protein. The best sources of protein in diet are fish, meat, dairy. Beans are not as quick or convenient as most crabs even fruits and veggies
