| Hello all, I recently am pouring SDS-PAGE gels when a liquid layer develops on top of the gel. This happens in the resolving and stacking gel layers. The liquid layer is denser than even butanol I add to the top of my gels. I have purchased new Acrylamide-bis mixture (30%/.8%), even 10% APS, and also TEMED solutions. However the liquid layer appears again and polymerization takes 2 hours ![]() Has anyone seen this before and how do I stop it? thanks DNA Science |
