 NBT oxidation I made measurement with serinol (2-amino-1,3-propanediol): added supernatant of cell lysis after sonification, NADH and nitroblue tetrazolium salt (which reduced gives purple color). And that gave me reduced NBT. I do not understood how reduced NBT, and what was oxidated in serinol. Without NBT or NADH was no activity. Anyone can help me with that mechanism of oxidation/reduction reaction.  |
