Is a Post doctoral degree needed to pursue an MPH (specialization Epidemiology)?

I only hear of people pursing the epidemiology path already have M.D's. My question is, is an M.D or any other post doctoral degree required to do a MPH? What if I wanted to get my MPH (with Epi spec) after my bachelors. Is that good? What are the chances of getting hired?
