"Post doc" refers to a course of study, usually a grant to carry on specific research AFTER achieving a Ph.D.
More important, the context of your question makes no sense. Just what sort of "application" are you filling out here? If you don't understand either of these terms, you have no business filling out an application to either be a professor or apply for a postdoctoral grant. Just what the h*ll is going on here?
I lived and worked in academic settings since 1961.
Probably applying for a PhD but either English is not the first language or no friends/family background in science or academia. People who were groomed for this type of career often consider certain things so obvious like the function of a post doc that they never get mentioned to people who were not.
