 When I look at the horizon does the earth's surface arch from one side to the other? But if I turn around it does the same the other way - obviously the earth is not a cube shape with bulging sides - but what is the explanation for this phenomenon?  |

| Yes, its because the earth is round and if you look out an airplane window or off a mountain, you can see the "bend". It's because that is where your eyes see it's curve. Hope I didn't confuse you more  |
