The wonderful aspect about math is that it is a
universal language. The same is true about machine
languages. JMF and I had a marvelous conversation
with a man in China who was overseeing the computer
room in the Children's Palace of Beijing. We didn't
know a word of his language and he didn't know a word
of English, but we communicated very well.
The 50+ kids in that room were working on Apples
writing programs that looked something like BASIC
but not quite; I've never met Smalltalk.
