The LHC has run two test beams today, but there won't be any
signifcant collisions for a few weeks, so the Earth has been spared
for now.

destroy it... As soon as the plants and animals are dead we're all
screwed... the world would be un-inhabitable... just another rock
flying through space.

You don't need a black hole to destroy the earth... global warming
already has it covered.
