| Hello fellow Physicist, I am working on a Generator project from the scrath. When I look at the equations of Generator, I notice most of them involve only V but not I. i.e. Output of electrical current is taken to be granted. However, this is not the case when we are actually building one, there is some curious situation when only V is observed, but the I is too minimal to be counted. I just wonder what factors determine V of output in Generator, abnd what factors determine I of output in Generator. It appears to be that I and V vary independent of each other. Who can help me out with this? The critical question is what make a Geneator output both Voltage and Current, and in what other cases that the Generator only output Voltage. Think of a generator as a centrifugal pump. The fast you spin it, or the larger vanes it has, the more voltage it can produce. The circuit you attach it to converts output voltage to current. The circuit that you connect it to takes voltage and allows current flow. David A. Smith |
