| just been to visit my father. he's a collector of glass containing uranium salts. [Only registered users see links. ] He displays his glass under UV so that it glows green. Now, he carries a small UV "penlight" so he can check glass he may find in 2nd hand shops etc. Whilst sat in the pub we noticed that the real ale we were drinking would fluoresce if we shone the UV light into the beer. We checked it was not the glass by shining the light through the top of the glass sans beer. It appears to be the exact same frequency of green light being emitted from something in the beer. Any ideas what it could be? It happens with many types of beer... Les -- Remove Frontal Lobes to reply direct. [Only registered users see links. ] Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? Oh, Are you also the original posters helper of some sort or have you also been checking the beers? I would gather it would need a certain amount of hops to make the glow bright enough to see well. Not all beers have the same amount of hops right, and not all beers have the 'best' hops either. |

| Reread the simple single sentence of the post you are commenting on. Does that logic elude you? I am guessing that it doesn't and you just like to read what you typed. |
