Training stops at P.hD. Now the child has grown up, he or she have knowledge and skills and can work himself whether some one say it "post doc" or something other.

At the graduation/post-graduation level the student does not get sufficient experience and skills to start research in any particular area or field. Therefore one must pursue an Ph.D for doing higher research.

Hi
uptill PhD there is enough training for a person in any field. after PhD person should come in practical life and should start his own reseach project or he or she should involve in any running reseach project.
A PhD person should hava complete knowledge of his or her field of work, so when he has complete knowledge then he can start own his own in new projects.
regards
aftab
