Which hydrolysed protein do I need, peptides or amino acids?

I have a digestion problem where i cannot have solid foods due to low stomach acid. My doctor told me to get hydrolysed protein.

I note that there are some hydrolysed proteins which are broken down to amino acid level and there are some which are broken down to peptide level. Can I take either of these or will they require some digestion i.e. presence of stomach acid.

Do I need the peptides or amino acids? If I just have the peptides will i be able to break it down and will it contain all the amino acids that I need?
