Default Question of 2-Chlorotrityl chloride resin of SPPS

I am using 2-Chlorotrityl chloride resin to synthsize RGDFE, when the first residue(Fmoc-Gly-OH) was added into the resin, somttimes it would produce white smog, anyone know why?
thank you

Why would you add Fmoc-Gly-OH as the first aa, if you want the sequence RGDFE???

Starting from Gly in order to prevent racemization during cyclization later on

Ok, I see
"White smog" is that as a gas or is it in solution? It might be chloride ions, what solvent are you using, DCM?

Are you having problems with incorporation of the first residue?

So the sequence before cyclization is DFERG-resin?

White smog is due to neutralization of HCl with Diisopropylethylamine.(Acid-base)
