| Methylation, N- capping, acetlyation? i know that in peptide synthesis there are mainly two method of synthesis 1) solid phase peptide synthesis 2) solution phase peptide synthesis but during synthesis the unnatural amino acid are synthesis and also they are protected to avoid degaration etc so what are those possiblities of modification in peptide synthesis i know some of them 1) N- Capping 2) N- Methylation 3)Acetlyation etc can any one tell me how we can introduce Sulfur and phosphor group , sulfide linkage what those techniques are known as or any other techniques if u know? and good online resource if you know |

| Hi I'm not quite sure what you are asking for! I think N-acetylation is the most common N-terminal modification. Disulfide bridges between two peptide can be introduced by using Fmoc-Cys(StBu)-OH. The StBu protecting group is stable to acid and base and is removed by oxidation following the cleavage and purification of the StBu protected peptide.
