Default Amine vs. peptide neurotransmitters?

So trying to contrast bio-synthesis of amine and peptide neurotransmitters but getting a little confused since aren't peptides made up of amino acids?
So whats a peptide neurotransmitter and why's it different from an amine one?

Default Re: Amine vs. peptide neurotransmitters?

Amine neurotransmitters have an amine group attached to an aromatic ring by a -CH2-CH2- chain. Peptide neurotransmitters usually have the good old -NH2 and -COOH termini.
