resins for peptide synthesis. I need to know what is the criteria for the selection of a particular type of resins for peptide synthesis. I am focussing on synthesis on peptides for cosmetic applications. What kind of resins would be best for me, since I am doing this for the first time. |
Re: resins for peptide synthesis. This depend on the peptide you want to synthesize, especially the first amino acid in the C-terminal, in our lad, we usually use Wang-resine if the first amino acids in C-terminal are a Ala, Arg, Asn, Asp, Glu, Gln, Gly, His, Ile, Leu, Lys, Met, Phe, Ser, Thr, Trp, Tyr and Val; and merrifield cl resin if is Pro, Cys. MBHA or AM resin if is conh. Hope this would be help. Good luck |
Re: resins for peptide synthesis. Does someone have a protocol to synthesis a cyclic peptide? what is a preferred resin for this propose? |
Re: resins for peptide synthesis. Wang Resin is cheapest for C terminus acid, Rink Amide AM Resin is cheapest for C terminus amine. As the cosmetic peptides are very short. The high loading is prefered. |
