Default capping

i am trying make 20 aa peptide. it is my first time to do so. i am doing it automatically and i wonder if anybody add a capping step to the synthesis program inorder to enhance the quality of the formed peptide

usually the longer the peptide,the more necessary it becomes to cap tp prevent side interactions and aggregation

as usual, depends on the sequence. 20 a.a. s doesn't sound too long and if you have some prolines in your sequence you usually can get away without using capping agent.

Hej hej,
I would say, it is necessary to cap. If you want to have only one sequence and a good yield. If you need some information use the novabiochem catalog, it explains a lot. You also ca order from Bachem a small SPPS guidline for free.
