Default Peptide Purification

What is the method that companies use to purify custom synthesized peptides?

thanks

Dear Kiki,
they usually come pre-purified. I would prefer to get a purified sample of peptides as they are experts at this, and peptides are quite expensive so you don't want to lose them!

But here goes for Peptide Purification Methods:

Using HPLC, peptides can be resolved to a very high degree of specificityy in a very short time.

The main peptide purification techniques are ion exchange HPLC and reverse phase HPLC.

They are usually eluted off of HPLC columns by changing the pH, or the ionic strength (i.e the salt concentration), or both methods are used together.

Default Re: Peptide Purification

I am using reverse phase HPLC, which resolves peptides depending on their hydrophobicities. Had to go for ion exchange for once only in 2 years.
