Why are DNA primers used in PCR but RNA primers used in DNA replication?
Just a little confused. Thanks in advance
Re: Why are DNA primers used in PCR but RNA primers used in DNA replication?
We can also use RNA primer in PCR but There are two main reason why we are not using it. first point is stability, DNA primer is more stable than RNA, so it is wise to use DNA instead of RNA and second point is hybridization, in the pcr reaction DNA primer bind to template more efficient than RNA primer.
