What creates single-stranded DNA templates in PCR (polymerase chain reaction)?

I need to know this for a test tomorrow and can't find the answer any where, so if anyone knows and could help me out that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: What creates single-stranded DNA templates in PCR (polymerase chain reaction)?

Hola, pcr have 3 phases denaturalization about 95ºC, annealing depending of oligos about 50 ºC or hibridization where the oligos hibride with single strands and synthesis at 72ºC. Is in the denaturalization phase were 2strand dna is completelly separated to 2 single strands. Buena suerte in your exam
