Default non-specific amplification from tissue samples

hi all,

I am doing C. pneumoniae specific PCR on DNA extracted from human tissue samples.

I have tested the primers on C.pn DNA extracted from cell culture, and the result is a singular band at the predicted MW.
However - when I repeat the PCR on the DNA extracted from tissue samples, I get the predicted bands, but also plenty of non-specific amplification and bands of various different sizes.

The chosen primers are VERY specific to C. pneumoniae when analysed with BLAST - any idea why there would be so much non-specific amplification?

cheers!
