Default Is GADD45 a marker for p53-dependent DNA repair? RT-PCR

Hello!

I am investigating levels of mRNA in epithelial cells exposed to UV and going to try GADD45 as a marker for DNA repair. I looked up in the literature that GADD45 is considered as a whether p53-dependent or -independent gene in DNA repair. Has anyone tried GADD45?

Thanks!
