I'm looking for a type of PCR tube that I used to use (but not for PCR). They are for small volumes, < 100 uL, and have a screw-type cap. The screw cap isn't the usual kind though, it has a mechanism for double-sealing the sample. The lid looks like a normal screw lid, but with a cylindrical column that projects down into the tube when you screw the lid on. The column is about 30 mm long and 6 mm in diameter and forms a seal low down inside the tube when screwed on (which reduces the dead-volume and hence evapouration). Anyway, I have searched all over the internet, but can't find them, I feel that I just need the right keyword and I'll be there! I'll post a picture of the cap later, when I get my camera.
Edit: it turns out that I can only post pictures after I've made 5 posts or more, for good reasons actually, but it's getting in the way right now! OK, the picture can be found at: "www dot bss dot phy dot cam dot ac dot uk/~kc305/P1040812.JPG" I hope that's de-codable!
Thanks, I'm really desperate for these tubes, they're just what I'm looking for!
Edit: OK, found them! They're made by a company called MoBiTec, Catalogue number TP0101. Thanks anyway, y'all
