Default Comparison of nested PCR and Real time PCR

Hej Everybody,

Can you help me to answer following questions?

What is similarities, differences, advantages between nested PCR and Real time PCR?

I am looking forward for your soonest response.

Thanks a lot in advance

Default Re: Comparison of nested PCR and Real time PCR

this is long assay .... for me, i try but may make error during this write-up

Nested PCR - 2 pcr steps: 1st normal pcr amplify longer template, 2nd pcr amplify the specific region within 1st pcr amplicon. Usually to amplify something really low copy number.

real time pcr - monitoring of pcr amplification realtime via sybergreen, taqman basically fluorescent dye.

similarity=both utilizing pcr technique, but detection method is slightly different.

I would suggest, u have a look at wiki.... it will be faster than me and anybody here doing summary... Once u got specific aspect like which method is best to use for detection of so and so we could help more.

*sweat also fainted coz my internet connection got problem... lucky i don't have to rewrite this again~
