 Calculating DNA concentration in PCR product? Calculating DNA concentration in PCR product? A sample of DNA was isolated from a bacterial culture and the OD260 was determined using a spectrometer. In order to determine the OD260 reading the technical took 2 microliters of the sample and added 498 microliters of water. The OD260 was shown to be 0.70. What is the dilution factor? The dilution factor is 1:250 (480+2=500, 2:500) What is the concetration of the DNA in the sample? The concentration of the DNA in the sample is 8750 microliters/milileters. The original tube contained 800 microliters. What is the total amount of DNA in the tube?  |

| Re: Calculating DNA concentration in PCR product? u can try [Only registered users see links. ] according to the calculator u have 8.75µg/µl of 800ul thus (8.75*800) = 7000µg |
