Default How to amplify DNA without amplifying the pseudogene??

Hello all,
I am amplyfying a DVL1 gene in human DNA and I realized that there is a pseudogene that is virtually identical to my gene on the same chromosome. Does anybody know a way to amplify the gene with PCR without amplifying the pseudogene? (My ultimate goal is to sequence the gene in question)
Thanks for any suggestions.

Restriction enzyme digestion of true gene, then isolate it on gel, cut gel slice and PCR amplify. Or PCR amplify true gene and psuedogene, then separate on gel, cut gel slice and PCR amplify again. You could also do the restriction digestion and TOPO vector ligate and clone to amplify.
