| I have an unknown that I cannot figure out!! The melting point was measured between 153-156 and tested positive for a halogen. The IR shows a broad peak at 2500cm-1 and a WEAK peak at 1703. The proton NMR shows 2 singlets at 4.65 and 6.22ppm. The carbon NMR shows 2 singlets at 130 (CH or CH3) and 169ppm (CH2).... I have spent hours trying to figure it out plus using the SDBS database and I've got NOTHING!!! |
