Hi, my question is what will be the product of the attached reaction? Will it be methyl cyclohexanate and ethanol?
I also would like to know about the mechanism, which one of the following steps would be the initial step in this reaction:

a)will OH in MeOH attack the C in the ester bond and then electron in the Pi bond move to the Oxygent atom of C=O forming C-O- (OH----C=O --> C-O-)
b)Or oxygen atom of EtO- will be protanated first?
c)Or oxygen atom in C=O will be protanated first?
