 dry PhSNa and PhSK If you have the anhydrous thiophenol, simply dissolve it a suitable solvent (THF or an alcohol) and add a stoichiometric amount of the alkali metal. I don't recommend adding potassium to a reactive alcohol, though (boom!).  |
