Default Noob question

Hi everyone. I'm new (obv).... I'm a pathologist who's trying to get a grasp on some genomics for an exam.

Are repeat length polymorphisms (micro satellites and mini satellites) forms for CNVs? Or are they classified separately?

Thanks.
