OPS, probably I should have introduced myself!

I'm Valentina from the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinstried, Munich.

I am at my second year of PhD in a lab that is interested in yeast meiosis, avery interesting process that we approach by biochemical analysis, live cell imaging, and microscopy.

We practice a lot of immunoprecipitations, protein extractions, microscopy, we also affinity-purify proteins, and possibly we collaborate for mass-spec analysis.

I started here with a quite poor biochemical background, but I am learning a lot! Still, sometimes I have a lot of doubts about what is going on in my tubes!!

I am sure some discussion would help me to better understand the chemistry of what I am doing, without spending days on literature (of course I like it but more to extract notions instead of protocols with hidden steps)

With my experience I also hope to be able to help somebody of course!
