Default problem in transformed plasmid



i restricted 6 kb plasmid and 750 bp insert with sal 1 and bamH1. both have these respective sites. after ligation i transformed this plasmid into competent cells(NEB). the resultant plasmid is above 10 kb (circular form). actual size should be 6,750 bps. suggest me

Have you tried sequencing what is there to see if anything else has been inserted?
