| Hi i hate selecting hundred clones for 1 positive clone. How do you guys do the blue/white colony selection with lac-Z (beta-gal)? I want to use x-gal for this but have never done this myself. My plasmid has the blue and white selection for this. cheers |

| Yeah Use X gal on you plates before you plate your tranformed cells.. white ones are "supposed" to be positive... But sometimes even blue colonies are positive and white one negetive... so you will have to screen many colonies to get a positive clone... But.. It would definately not 100... All the best!!! |
