I have some really basic questions as I have never done an ELISA (or western blot) before.
I need to detect beta-lactoglobulin in cow's milk with sandwich ELISA and am not sure what antibodies to use.
Are rabbit anti-bovine beta-lactoglobulin polyclonal antibody (primary antibody) & goat anti-rabbit IgG antibody peroxidase conjugated (secondary antibody) alright?
Also, is 50mM Tris, 0.14M NaCl, 0.05% Tween 20, pH 8.0 okay as blocking soution for this assay? Or is it better to use 3% ovalbumin in PBS? Is Tween essential for blocking?
Would really appreciate some advice.
