| I am using SDS PAGE to determine the identity of HBsAg from a vaccine adsorbed on Aluminium salts. I have tried desorbtion with citrate and phosphate salts but have obtained nothing on the gel (silver staining). I have read that adding surfactants improves elutability. Has anyone tried this? which detergent and how much? |

| What is the concentration of the said vaccine? Where do you elute it from (not from PAGE I hope as there are nothing there)? |

| my vaccine has 10ug/0.5ml. I have tried elution with anions (phosphate and citrate) in order to acheive desorbtion so that I could then apply it on the SDS PAGE. |

| What is the vaccine amount that you loaded into the well? From the concentration you supplied, the amount of vaccine is too low. You can try lower your ladder to match your vaccine and observe if the ladder did appear. But seriously I think the amount maybe too low! If the vaccine is a commercial product, you maybe in luck. you could ask the company to supply you with CoA together with their SDS-PAGE picture of the vaccine.
