Transcription/Translation Confusion! 1 Attachment(s) I need help in understanding transcription/translation with regards to Question 3d. (please see attachment) The answers are already given, I am just trying to figure out how it came about to that. My question: In 3d.How does the first 5 amino acids translated from the resulting mRNA encode N Met-Leu-Tyr-Pro-Ala-C - as per the solution given??? Looking at the previous solution for question 3c. the first 15 nucleotides are 5’ CUAAUAUUGUGAGAU 3’ - as per solution given. So HOW DID 5’ CUAAUAUUGUGAGAU 3’ -- translate to amino acids --> N Met-Leu-Tyr-Pro-Ala-C...??? Would this not encode an entirely different set of amino acids? Am i missing something? Please HELP! And thank you in advance for your answer. |
