 regarding PCR product Hi , im trying to clone a gene but the DNA template isolated was not good. after the 1st PCR i was getting a faint band on the size expected. so i eluted that PCR product and did a second PCR using the amplified gene. now im getting good amplification however there is a slight smear near the product band. can i use this product for transformation by selectively cutting the gel and eluting my desired product? are there chances of non specific product ligating into the vector?  |
