How much does a ELISA plate reader cost?

I am planning on buying a plate reader for future research. Therefore, I would like to know the average cost of them in the U.S. I live in México but U.S. prices would serve me well as reference.

If I may ask, I would like to know the best price/performance ratio, too.

Many thanks

I'd say about $800 dollars for this one (been about 2 years since I ordered this [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...])

Great software and very nice sales and service people.

You meant $8000, right? I do not know about the company much but I have used a ELISA reader from it (another model, though) and I like it. They have nice interphase, or so I think.

Anyway, thanks again
