I want to make a uv mutagenesis of bacilicus bulgaricus.I have a 36w 1,2m uv tube.How long and from what distance to place the bacteria?I want a clear phenotype mutation.

What phenotype do you propose to select and how? You need to understand the wavelength of emissions for the lamp and I'm concerned that you're doing this without much training or supervision. Be aware that there is no "Bacilicus bulgaricus" - there's a Lactobacillus delbreckii subsp. bulgaricus.
Uv can cause eye damage.

I want something more obvious like changing the color.And yes i am on solo campaign.

Don;t recall it as beng pigmented and think you are trivializing the scientific challenge. Not sure you have the capabilities to achieve it even with directions.
Is this for your effort to learn microbiology, a science fair project, something else?
