Biofilm growth on polyurethane Hello all, I'm growing E. coli (UTI strain) in a flow cell on polyurethane and have seen that after 12 hours, a lot of them are dead (but still sticking to the PU) compared to when they are grown statically (i.e. not in a flow cell, but for the same length of time). Has anyone any ideas as to why this should be the case? Thanks |
Re: Biofilm growth on polyurethane "Dead" by vital stains? |
Re: Biofilm growth on polyurethane Yes, by live dead stain. Does it mean that the integrity of the membrane is altered when the bacteria attach to the polyurethane? I've noticed that the bacteria floating around are all green. Thanks for any suggestions. |
