| I was asked to prepare the antibiotic disc myself. I am not so sure about the calculation for the antibiotic stock solution. From the website, I know that the formula is W=(1000/P)xVxC; P=potency, V=volume needed, C = desired concentration. I have four antibiotics that I need to prepare:- 1) Amoxicillin Trihydrate powder - each gram contains 500mg (dosage: 0.26g/liter drinking water) 2) Kanamycin - each gram contains 550mg (dosage: 0.05g/liter drinking water) 3) Florfenicol - 100mg (dosage: 1cc/1 gallon drinking water) 4) Oxytetracycline 25% + neomycin 25% - each 1000g contains oxytetracycline 250g & neomycin 250g (dosage: 2.2g/liter) Please help me with the calculation. Thank you. |
