Default Bacterias in Nitrification

Hello everyone.I am an aquarist. The most important topic in fishkeeping is the Nitrogen Cycle.I have read many articles over the net about it.I read some articles which says that in the Nitrification process of Nitrogen Cycle Nitrosomonas Bacteria converts ammonia to nitrite and Nitrobacter converts Nitrite to Nitrate. But also read some contradicting research articles which stated that instead of Nitrobacter a new type called Nitrospira are the ones who actually oxidizes Nitrite to Nitrate.

Need opinions from the experts whether this is true or not.

It's a complex process that can invovled multiple species that is probably oversimplified by calling it a "cycle." Nitrospira have been reported from marine marien environments - and so have the other species. Probably more a mater of and than or.
