MTT and alamar blue assay sensitivity and Mycobacterium tuberculosis I have noticed that the MTT growth curves for Mtb strains become less linear after the cultures have been allowed to incubate (while being agitated in a shaking incubator) for more than 15 days. This does not appear to be a problem with the Alamar Blue reagent. Could this be due to the increased concentration of cells in the broth or a result of the cells moving into the stationary phase? please help. thank you |
Re: MTT and alamar blue assay sensitivity and Mycobacterium tuberculosis uhm... your culturing mycobacterium in flask?! I am just curious what culture medium did you use? |
Re: MTT and alamar blue assay sensitivity and Mycobacterium tuberculosis what is the measure of growth that shows linearity? |
Re: MTT and alamar blue assay sensitivity and Mycobacterium tuberculosis I am growing the cultures using 7H9 medium. Growth curves: measure of absorbance at 600 nm versus interval (e.g Day 0, etc.) |
Re: MTT and alamar blue assay sensitivity and Mycobacterium tuberculosis What if you didnt use shaking incubater maybe this will help |
