Lightbulb Isolation of New Bacterial Strains

Yo every1,
No doubt there are tons of new bacteria yet to be discovered... how many any estimates?

also where are they going to be found?

just my 2cents,

Rick

Hi
at present we can not give any estimation about the number of bacteria that are undiscovered so far, because the number of new discovered bacteria is increasing with rapid pace.
some entirely new variety of bacteria may be present at hidden places that are not discovered so far, like many islands, glaceries, and at depth, many of them may ve severly extermophiles bacteria. and now it is also estimated that bacteri and bacteria like organisms are also found in space.

Hi,
Approxim. 90% of the microbial world is unexplored. we can not culture all the microbes present in the environment. So, one can employ culture independent methods "metagenome" to explore the hidden microbial world. And to get a new culturable bacteria one can hit the area with hihgly adverse environmental conditions.

hi,
my country is focus on viruses,
so there is fewer people still remain in this area,
don't mention that we can discover new bacteria,
and i agree with all above
