Default Synthetic media for E.coli

Hi all, I am looking for a synthetic media recipe to grow E.coli.
I would like to monitor the effect of phosphorus on growth thus phosphorus would be kind of a limiting factor. Anyone has a idea where I should look.

Thanks,

apari006

Hi
for the growth of E.coli we normally use L.B. Media and Nutrient media can also be used. but if you selectively want to check the effect of phosphorous on the growth of E.coli then you have to use a mininal media with different concentration of phosphorous.
regards
aftab

Thanks aftabac,

That is what I was planning to do but I wanted to know if there was any recipe that would be better than another. I will probably go for ammonium sulfate, glucose, potassium hydrogen phosphate and magnesium sulfate. Variying the quantity of K2HPO4 should yield the expected results wrt phosphorus concentration.
