| Dr. Michael Strohdeicher We are two biochemistry students from Oporto, Portugal. We are developing a microbiology project that involves the study of the complex NADH:ubiquinona oxidoreductase from Zymomonas mobilis. In this theoretical project we´re trying to eliminate the expression of this enzyme by doing random mutagenesis. As you certanly know, we need some method to do a selection of the wanted mutant. We think we can use the method you mention on the abstract of the paper "Electron transport chain of Zymomonas mobilis" (1990), for the removal and reincorporation of ubiquinone from the bacteria membrane. If it wouldn´t be much of a burden,it will be a great help if you send us the paper. Thank you very much for your attention. António José Ribeiro Sandro Dá Mesquita |
