| Hi again, does anyone has experience with orbifloxacin or quinolone like antibiotics. I will have to do some studies in which I must be able to isolate microorganisms from medical products containing orbifloxacin, and I have to neutralize this agent. I know that this antibiotic inhibits the DNA-Gyrase of gram negative and positive bacteria. Somewhere I read that bivalent kations such as Ca oder Na can decrease the antibiotic activity. Has anyone an idea or informations for me? Is this inhibition reaction ATP or Mg dependent? Thanks a lot in advance.
