| CNN several weeks ago had a script at the bottom of the page about mad cow. Does anyone know first hand what is going on? Are chicken farmers using feed laced with infected cow meat? Steve -- Enoch Walk |

| Depending upon where you live in the world, chicken feed MIGHT contain 'meat and bone meal' from cows. The more likely it is for BSE (mad cow disease) to be in a country the LESS likely it is that this will happen. Cows with clinical BSE are excluded from slaughter and processing so they will never end up as feed. And the BSE agent is not found in tissues such as meat (ie the muscles). So it is totally wrong to suggest that feed is ever 'laced with infected cow meat' Ian Jenson "Enoch Walk" <[Only registered users see links. ]> wrote in message news:C2_mb.72378$[Only registered users see links. ]... cow. feed |
